landforms: features on the surface of the earth such as mountains hills dunes oceans and rivers.
Delta: A triangle shaped landform at the mouth of a river other body of water.
Canyon: keep cord in the surface of the earth formed by the erosian of moving water and sand.
Sand dunes: Hills formed by the wind blowing sand.
Mountains: very large rock formations with a peak at the top.
Hill: A large land formation of rock dirt and grass that is rounded on the top.
Valley: The flat area between two mountains or hills.
Glacier: slowly moving river of ice.
Plains: A large area of land that is flat with no mountains hills or valley.
Erupt: to break open suddenly.
Volcano: A mixture of hot rocks ash and gases that blow through a crack in the Earth's surface.
landslide: The rapid downward slide of rocks and mud.
Earthquake: A sudden release of energy under the earths surface that make the ground shake or crack.
Channel: The bed were a natural stream of water runs; a narrow see between two closest landmasses.
Basin: A hollow or depression in the earth's surface wholly or partly surrounded by higher land.
Plateau: A raised area of land that is relatively flat on top but is higher than the surrounding land.
